Real MAHA & DissCons--Shun the Insta-Centrism of Yang, Jean-Pierre, and Musk
But Conservatism Inc. Should Realize the One-More-Confusion Political Threat We Bring if It Continues to Suppress
So big boys Musk and Trump have split. It’s a fluid situation, and so on all kinds of questions, the best answer at the moment is probably “who knows?”
What I’ve most noticed, however, are the tweets, by Elon Musk and Andrew Yang, proposing a centrist party, with Yang adding the idea of a wide-open vote by cell-phone open primary. Here’s the Yang one:
Imagine an Independent ‘28 presidential primary with Mark Cuban, Jamie Dimon, Matthew McConaughey, Dean Phillips, Oprah, Stephen A Smith, Greg Orman and others - and you could vote in the primary on your smartphone. There is nothing stopping us from doing this.
What my mind immediately goes to in all this are the already-escalating tensions b/t Real MAHA, which wants definite action against the Covid-19 Vaxxes, and which is beginning to talk about political retaliation against Trump and GOP if it won’t deliver.
See, for example, the Not for Sale open letter, which many luminaries of Real MAHA are signing, and which I am also. You can find my case for why DissCons should sign this, even though they have differences w/ the likes of S. Latypova, N. Wolf, etc., in the thread.
My gut-judgment at the moment is:
Real MAHA and DissCons, be very wary about siding with Musk and his proposal for a centrist party in this. Or of entering into exploratory negotiations w/ him. Three reasons.
A.) Trump and the Trumpies are a vindictive lot. We all know RFK Jr. is our real friend at bottom, we do not want to put him and his appointees in a bad spot, and there remains a real chance—supported by unnoticed pieces of evidence like the John Rich one which I highlighted--that he will get Trump and the key agencies to unleash decisive action against the Covid-vaxxes. Let’s not ruin that chance, by getting our righteous and clear cause mixed-up in the Elon v. Donald soap opera!
B.) The only real case Musk could make to Real MAHA and DissCons is that 1.) I will deliver x, y, q, p, and 2.) Trump is captured! But Musk might be captured too! Or more captured. Also he has zero track-record on the Covid-vax issue, other than ending and exposing the censorship at Twitter, and even on that issue, many in dissident circles complain about unfair treatment of their accounts at X to this day. Even a capture-free Musk would be way more transhumanism-friendly than anyone we ally with ought to be. There is every reason to expect his Insta-Centrism to be Silicon-Valley-friendly. Finally, he likely doesn’t have the receipts on the Epstein thing. Nor is it decisive that of course he is right about the “One Ugly Child” bill and the caving to the DC establishment it represents.
C.) I highlight the tweet from Yang, and to put Karine Jean-Pierre’s name in the mix, because this moment is not merely the one of Trump’s honeymoon ending, but the moment where the establishment Dem brand is at its nadir. The Biden admin has been exposed as a scandal from top-to-bottom, and the rats are jumping ship Democrat, in Jean-Pierre’s sorry lie-a-minute case, into declaring for the “Independents.” More generally, the left is just lost. That’s far more the context for what Yang is floating than the Musk-Trump break-up. What all DissCons and Real MAHA should want for the left is a serious, principles-bound, reform movement. One capable of internal party discipline which will expel cancelist Woke-ist and anti-Constitution bullies, and retain 75% of the Trumpist hostility to academia/big-media/corporate-dom as they presently operate. Which will listen to N. Wolf and C.J. Hopkins on the Covid-vax Catastrophe. A reformed Dem Party or new party of the left has to be led by either some kind of hard-core Old School Liberal, such as Bari Wiess, or by some new—yet to be heard from—ethics-and-democracy emphasizing kind of democratic socialist. No patriotic, ethical, and thoughtful person of any political stripe can want it to be led by principle-less, celebrity-centered, fly-by-night tech types like Musk or Yang. (A primary by phones! Just great, Yang…) Real conservatives should want a worthy opponent.

Final note: Oh Principled Conservatives and Genius-Level Conservative Strategists, do note that none of what a write here I would ever have needed to if, on the never-going-to-go-away Covid-vax-harms issue, you had done the right thing, and the honest and open thing. Real MAHA would already know that the real conservatives are the only reliable source of pressure upon a semi-captured Trump admin. Already know that in a sudden three-party situation, the only solid choice would be for the party supported by them. In this moment of who-can-you-trust uncertainty, they would not care so much that you are pro-life, originalist, and very critical of their past progressivism, etc., because they would know you are real at bottom.
But your Join-w/-Legacy-Media Suppression of the Covid-Vax-Harms-Story move—such genius tactics!—is at the heart of the basic uncertainty of anyone thoughtful about where you stand anymore.
